School Places
Looking for a school place?
Queen Eleanor Primary is a small rural primary school on the border between Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We have a small but very dedicated staff team and we aim to provide individualised education for every child in our care. We have very high standards of academic achievement but maintain this by providing a broad and exciting curriculum; many schools sacrifice the arts, drama, music and sport but we feel this enhances standards. School works closely with Tuxford Secondary Academy and most of the children transfer on to there very successfully but we support families and children to any secondary school setting. We have maintained a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating overall for more than 20 consecutive years now.
In September 2021 we opened our spacious Foundation unit for F1s and F2s, in addition to Class 1 (Yr 1 & 2), Class 2 (Yr 3 & 4) and Class 3 (Yr 5 & 6) small numbers (approximately 20) and 3 ancillary staff who support the learning of the children. Ratios are therefore VERY favourable and we can tailor learning very precisely.
Our school is also superbly equipped. We have a sports hall that has a full size badminton court, with changing rooms and onsite school kitchen, an outdoor fitness trail, a low mountain climbing wall and outdoor netball court, football pitch and all weather table tennis.
Above all else we are a caring, friendly school and we have a family feel. We currently have spaces in some year groups as of late we have had a large influx of numbers. If you or anyone you know is thinking about a school move and has children in any KS1 or KS2 year group, or wanting a place in our Foundation Unit in September, please do not hesitate to contact us for a look around. Our door is always open!
